family friendly French bistro near Rue Sainte Croix Marais

Hi

We are a family of five from Australia and have five nights in the Marais from June 20. Please advise of some good %26#39;Price Fixed%26quot; family friendly bistros in the area. Also as we will do some self catering could you recommend some supermarkets and some fruit and vegetable markets in the Marais.

Thanks

John

Sorry cannot remember any names, but there are lots of bistros on and around Rue des Archives - also we had a very nice dinner at Camille, on Rue des Francs Bourgeois. They are no more or less family friendly than any other restaurant in France - i.e. there%26#39;s no separate %26quot;kids%26#39; menu%26quot;, but children are generally welcome. There is a supermarket on Rue du Vielle Temple, also on Rue Rambuteau, between Rue des Archives and Rue du Temple. There is a good food market at Boulevard Richard Lenoir at Bastille on Sundays. We loved staying in that area, you can%26#39;t really go too far wrong.

Hi John,

We will be staying with our 2 kids in an apartment near Marais for 7 nights from 17 June. We have also been researching the same thing. My husband and I have selected a restaurant for the one night we will be having out on our own but have decided to basically %26quot;wing it%26quot; for the other nights by checking menus outside of bistros to make sure there is something there that will keep the kids happy.

There%26#39;s a nice market on the Place Baudoyer (in front of the Mairie du 4ème) on Wednesday afternoons and Saturday mornings, including a very good fishmonger. The shops along the rue Saint Antoine by the Saint Paul metro station are mostly good, and there%26#39;s a friendly small supermarket there, the G20, that%26#39;s less expensive than the G20 up on the rue Vieille du Temple. Pascal Trotté%26#39;s cheese shop (2 shops to the left of the église Saint Paul Saint Louis) is heaven!
