Renting a car in St Jean de Luz?

Hello

We are coming to St Jean de Luz for a few days this coming September by rail. After our stay in the area, we are planning on renting a car and driving to Toulouse and then a few days later on to Marseille for a flight. I am having trouble finding a rental car to pick up in St Jean de Luz and wondering if we will have to take the train or a taxi to Biarritz to do so? Does anyone have any insight and/or experience? We%26#39;ve never been to this area of France before.
