As stated in my topic box, I need to know how one can get from Brussels to Normandy. What is the best mode of transportation? Can one travel and do the sites in one day?

I am a fellow American in Belgium until Sunday morning. I was thinking about drving from Brussels to Normandy at about 11 am on Saturday, and coming back late that night. Need a ride there, or just want to do a quick day trip?
