IF you take a D-Day tour, bring a notebook !

In May we took the 2-DAy American Experience tour with Battlebus which was quite fascinating. Many of the events are recounted through the actions of THE HEROES, giving the story a very personal touch rather than just a recitation of facts and numbers.

Tourists always bring their cameras, but I would urge anyone taking one of these tours to also bring a NOTEBOOK. I%26#39;m sorry I did NOT.

We heard so many stories and visited so many sites, a lot of it is a big jumble in my head right now. I wish I had recorded the names of the places with the stories we heard about them. It would have helped me to recall and to match the places with my photos.

I don%26#39;t usually bother with a travel diary. But in this case, I wish I had.

Thanks, pacosmom! I%26#39;m taking the one day American Battlebus tour in September and I will take your advice!

I also thank you for the great idea. I am also doing the battlebus tour in April next year and we

are really looking forward to it.

Glad that my suggestion is useful.

This was one of the most worthwhile tours I%26#39;ve ever taken.
