We stayed at a great B%26amp;B near Roussillon called the Mas Perreal. Beautiful rooms in an old farmhouse surrounded by vineyards. The owners were so nice that we are coming back next year!

|||

Thanks for the info...

Jean-Louis - how far is your place from Saigon? Would we be able to walk into town for dinners?

And to Arlinfla: that place sounds nice. Do you know their web site address?

|||

Web site is www.masperreal.com -

Absolutely..try Les Trois Sources (Bonnieux) actually the petit Luberon. I can%26#39;t rave enough about this place.

Early Spring, Summer, Fall or Winter... I think the best place in Luberon is %26quot;le pays d%26#39;Aigues%26quot; in the south. May I suggest %26quot;Le Pavillon de Galon%26quot; in Cucuron, wich is a fantastic B%26amp;B, both classical and modern, with the most beautiful gardens in the area...

I stayed at a fabulous guesthouse/B%26amp;B in Pernes les Fontaines which is very centrally located to all towns/villages you might like to visit. (www.lelavandinprovence.com). The owner of LeLavandin is American so language is not a problem. The property is spectacular as you will see on the website. Georgia assisted us in mapping out our route to where we wanted to go on a particular day. She also recommended various restaurants that were wonderful and made the reservations for us. Her breakfasts are SO delicious and so beautifully presented.

If you have questions, please ask away!

Enjoy!

You certainly arent I was planning the next two trips before I started this one. Im sure you dont need me to tell you to visit Glanum near St Remy. While you aint into shopping Id suggest you visit one good food market, such as Apt (Sat) or again St Remy (Weds) just for the spectacle. Did you know about Olbia, near Hyeres? Greek Roman and others though there is not actually a lot to see in terms of buildings.

You will find that most self catering accomm is let by the week, Sat to Sat

I booked through Homelidays and while what I have booked is poles apart from what u want, u might have a look at their website homelidays.com

If you will check the hotels review for Provence hotels, you will see over a hundred posts for Les Carmes, a wonderful bed and breakfast (charme d%26#39;hote) near the village of Le Thor (near Isle Sur la Sorgue). Les Carmes is located about 30 minutes east of Avignon and is a great location for seeing the villages of Fontaine de Vaucluse, Gordes, Rousillon, Bonnieux, Lacoste, Menerbes, etc.

Les Carmes has 5 suites (huge by European standards). It is operated by a British couple who renovated the old Carmelite monastery. It has a pool and a lovely courtyard. THe owners%26#39; son Simon did the renovations, and his twin James operates a restaurant there where he serves gourmet 5-7 course meals that are well worth the cost.

We found Les Carmes on Trip Advisor and chose to stay there last March due to the culinary classes that James teaches (my daughter wanted to take one). We booked two nights there with no meals. THe first night, after hearing the other guests rave over the food, we immediately reserved a meal for the next night. We then postponed our plans to travel on to Barcelona and spent an additional two nights at Les Carmes.

This May, I have just returned from Les Carmes again while on a trip with my daughter and two of my friends. My two friends are still angry that I didn%26#39;t reserve more nights at Les Carmes (we stayed 4 nights in Italy, 2 in Cassis, and several in the Lot/Dordorgne/Gard areas of France before traveling on to the Luberon/Vaucluse area).

My mother will be traveling this summer, spending a week in Germany and 4 nights in Le Thor, again at Les Carmes, with 2 friends.

If you read the TripAdvisor reports, they are all unanimous in praising Les Carmes, not only the accommodations but the meals and the family who operate it. If you stay at Les Carmes, you will not be disappointed. Check it out at www.lescarmes.com

Believe me, Les Carmes is truly special!
