My husband and I have book flights for a last minute trip to France. We are flying in and out of Paris. I have been pouring over the posts, but I can%26#39;t seem to find any itineraries.

Use the search box in the upper right hand corner and you will find LOTS of itineraries posted.

Thanks!

Go to Chapters and get the Green Michelin Guide for Paris. Not too bulky, it has LOTS of itineraries and info very helpful for a 1st timer.
And please do not do as lots of us has done: trying to see too much in a too short stay.
Do the Open Bus tour to get the feeling of the city (sit on the top section if weather permits).

Hi,
Do choose a good Guide book (look through a few) and read it and get a map, don%26#39;t rely on the little maps in the Guide. It%26#39;s better to get a real map, with metro stops, main sites, and so on clearly indicated.
If you%26#39;ll be visiting a few cities, a Guide for France with sections on different cities might do.
|||
If you type %26#39;best maps%26#39; in the search box, there are quite a few good threads w/ recommendations for maps - some of them are free (in Galleries Lafayette), others you may be able to purchase here, and some might be easiest to get upon arrival in Paris.
I also recommend the Paris Museum Pass if you plan on visiting multiple museums %26amp; sites such as Notre Dame %26amp; Arc de Triomphe - much more economical than paying admission at each place. Here%26#39;s the website for the site: http://www.parismuseumpass.com/en/home.php
Happy planning!

Try to get a good map before leaving. It is always good to get somewhat familiarized with the map before arrival.
Free maps are available in the Paris metro, they are useful if you want to know the bus %26amp; metro routes, but for walking a more detailed map is much better.

How long are you staying and in what area is your hotel?
|||
How long will you be in France? Are you looking for advice on other places in addition to Paris?
|||
I am staying in France for 2 weeks. We plan to stay in Paris for 4 nights, take the train to Bordeux, and then rent a car. We plan to tour around Bordeux, stay in Avignon and end up in Nice, where we will drop off the car, and take the train back to Paris for one more night.
Can anyone reccomend any 3 star hotels for Bordeux and Avignon? We would like to stay somewhere a little nicer in Nice.
|||
Mercure Chateau des Papes in Avignon or the other Mercure a block away. Both have access to underground parking, very convenient and the Chateau Des Papes one has views on the Chateau des Papes, quite nice at night.
For Nice I suggest you post your questions on the Nice Forum, you will get lots of suggestions. But huryy up as some hotels are already booked for the 1st 2 weeks of september.
