french riviera

due to change in schedule, we have 3 days from the 14th to 17th july. we are in Provence and Marseille up to the 14th july. any suggestions where we should go. will have a hired car. we thought of driving along coast towards monaco. what are the roads like at this time of the year, and will be able to find clean, budget accommodation at the last minute.

For 3 days, I%26#39;d suggest you visit Cassis, Cap Canaille, Bandol, St Cyr sur Mer.

You wouldn%26#39;t have all that much driving to do and could enjoy the shoreline walking path to Bandol, the area%26#39;s vineyards and just relax and soak in the sites. It%26#39;s a very nice area.

Remember that July 14th is a national holiday that%26#39;s celebrated with lots of good cheer. Best not to be on the road that evening.

I wouldn%26#39;t count on finding last-minute accommodations during high season. Will you be spending time in Provence other than in Marseille? Knowing what you will already have seen would be helpful in making recommendations.
