Westin Paris/Tuilleries area

Hi, all. My fiance and I are going to be staying at the Westin Paris for 1 week in October for our honeymoon (Yes, I%26#39;ve read the reviews, we are keeping our fingers crossed.)

I am trying to figure out which Arrodisment this is (Rue de Castiglione). By checking out some maps, it LOOKS like the 1st to me, but I am truly at a loss.

I know it is pretty centrally located - so we should be good right, for sight seeing, just walking aimlessly, etc? I guess I just need some re-assurance. It is our first time to Europe and we just really want to get everything we can out of this trip.

Is there a Metro nearby, easy transport to Versailles? I woke up stressing over this trip!

Thanks, everyone.

I believe you are in a rather fancy area; it is the First District on the Right Bank, you are near good shopping and of course the Tuilleries. If you go to www.pagesjaunes.fr -- that is the the French yellow pages. Then on the right side of the page type in your street address, 5 rue de Castiglione, then underneath that on the next line type 75001. Then click on photos. On the left side is a box %26quot;retour rue%26quot; click on that and you%26#39;ll see a map below with an arrow. By clicking on the arrow you can travel in actual photos your address and every street surrounding to get a feel for the neighborhood.

Somewhere in the reviews, I noticed the General Manager has provided his e-mail address. Recommend e-mailing and mentioning that you will be on your honeymoon and requesting a newly renovated room.

This hotel is very nicely located (in the 1st), indeed! You%26#39;ll be right by Jardin des Tuileries and the Louvre.

You can easily catch a bus or the metro to RER Line C to go to Versailles.

Thank you so much!

DJK - The first thing we did was specify %26quot;newly renovated room with a view for our honeymoon.%26quot; We weren%26#39;t taking the chance. :)
