I was wondering what is the best way we can go from CDG to our hotel on rue Marbeau in Paris
We are a family of four and will be arriving in the evening.

Check out www.ratp.fr for public transport options or consider a pre-booked shuttle service.
The RATP site has some idiosyncrasies, but it%26#39;s a very useful tool. One of those idiosyncrasies is that if you plug in Charles de Gaul airport, it won%26#39;t understand you. It%26#39;s ROISSY Charles de Gaul airport. It will also ask you to specify the terminal.

On the RATP home page, in the first box, click on Station, then start typing aero...(for aerogare) and a drop down will appear for you to select the CDG Terminal. In the second box, leave Address checked and enter the street number street, Paris, then click on Itineraire. You may have to change the times (due to time zone differences).
However, after flying from LA, I would strongly discourage you from using the RER. The most direct route would involve a change at Chatelet/Les Halles station. Been there once, avoided ever since. It%26#39;s huge, full of hallways, stairways, and pickpockets.
If you want to economize, take the Air France Coach to Porte Maillot. From there, it would be a 10 minute walk or so, depending on the street number.

But, to me, on arriving in Paris, after an overnight, when you%26#39;re dazed, confused, probably sleep deprived, a taxi is worth every euro. Fare to rue Marbeau would probaby be €50-55.
For a group of four, a taxi is not that much more than public transportation, and almost always less than a shuttle.
