We are considering booking a combined Seine cruise with an Illuminations cruise in August. However, all the companies seem to depart for the cruise at 7:30 with the bus tour at 8:30 or so. Will it be dark enough to truly be an Illuminations tour at this time of year? I read somewhere that the sun sets around 9:15 p.m. (21:15) so it seems that we wouldn%26#39;t see many lights.
Has anyone here ever booked these? I know they are %26quot;touristy%26quot; but it seems like a nice way to get a good overview of Paris on our first night in town, since we will only be there for a long weekend.

Here%26#39;s a handy website for getting sunrise/sunset times anywhere in the world. www.sunrisesunset.com You can scroll down to Paris to get the calendar for any month. To add twilight and moon info, click %26quot;custom...%26quot; at the top of the page, then get Paris from the scroll down menu.

It%26#39;s late during the summer, 9:30-10pm depending on date. If you want to see the city lit at night or take an illumination tour, plan it late.
