Walk from Villafranche to Nice

Is it possible to walk from Villafranche to Nice. Is there a sidewalk and what is the approx. distance ?(in miles if possible)

I am only asking because my friend wants to do this and I think she is NUTS

It is a flat three miles if you walk beside the main road. There is a sidewalk all the way.

Shorter, much more interesting but tougher is the walk through Mont Boron Park. This is quite a climb if you are not used to walking but has absolutely wonderfuk views.
