Does window shopping in Paris have to been done during the store%26#39;s open hours? I%26#39;d love to get in a window shopping on the way to and from dinner. I%26#39;ve noticed that quite a few places in Europe have the metal grates that are pulled down at night and on Sundays, but I don%26#39;t remember about Paris. This makes a street that%26#39;s interesting to walk down during the day seem a little forlorn in the evening.

Some stores have an iron curtain at night (jewelry and high end) but there is still plenty to see. A good time to take a photo is also after hours or when store is closed as some shopowners do not like to have their displays %26quot;spied on%26quot;.

We walked down Rue du Faubourg St. Honore past Chanel and the like after closing hours and we were able to peep into the windows.
