Versailles Question

(Forgive me, I realize this has been asked 1000s of times!)

We are planning on getting the museum pass and we are very excited about going to Versailles. Does the museum pass cover the chambers/hall of mirrors AND Marie Antoinette%26#39;s Hamlet/the gardens?

I think I remember reading it is quite a trek from the main palace to the hamlet, which is fine - I would just like to know what I am getting in to.

Thanks, all!

Yes, it does cover what you%26#39;ve mentioned - along with the Trianons.

If you go on a weekend when the fountains are on - you will have to pay extra to actually get into the gardens - as there is a fee on Fountain day.

The PARIS MUSEUM PASS gives access to all the sightseeing excursions open according to the season: the 17th century Chapel and Hall, the State Apartments of the King and Queen, the Apartments of Mesdames daughters of Louis XV, Apartments of the Prince Heir Apparent and Galleries of the 19th century History of France and the domain of Marie-Antoinette.

Not included: shows, musical water shows, audio guides, conferences, restaurants and transport services.

Excellent...that is what I wanted to hear!

is it worth it to go on Saturday for the fountains, or during the week when it is less crowded?

We went in late May on a Sunday and really enjoyed the fountains! We thought the crowds would be really bad, but they weren%26#39;t bad at all. Highly recommend going on a weekend. Get the pass that includes everything, RER C line, enterance, fountains, audioguide. Saves a lot of time.

Dolphina, you sound like my kind of gal. I just read your response to my siene river cruise. For versaille, i am actually thinking of doing the fat tire bike tour. Did you see anyone on that tour?

Oh dear, we arrive Sunday afternoon and leave Thursday so it%26#39;s a mid week trip for us. I%26#39;m guessing it will be closed on Monday for Bastille Day, but any chance the fountains will be going on Tuesday for the %26#39;holiday%26#39;?
