Europcar Child Seat leaves lot to be desired

We hired a car with Europcar at Toulouse airport including a seat for our 10month old baby. The car was great. Just what I booked etc. Unfortunately when collecting the child seat I was told by the Europcar staff %26quot;Just pop in the office at the carppark and pick the one you want%26quot;. On visiting the office I was faced with a two heaps of dirty, sick covered broken car seats which I was left to pick the best of a bag bunch. On finding one which wasnt broekn, we had to clean the seat with alcohol solution to remove staining (sick and God knows what else) and then try to work out how to fit the seat.

With all the health and saftey regultions in existence these days I can not believe how a large company like this gets away with treating children and their customers in this way.

Be warned! Take your own car seat for your child!

Take your own seat.

Take your own seat.

Take your own seat.

We have traveled with our son since he was 6 months old, and only once did we make the mistake of not bringing our own seat.

My husband was stood on his head trying to secure an unfamiliar seat in an unfamiliar car...we buckled our son in (thankfully, it was very clean) -- and he screamed the entire weekend (thankfully not a fortnight%26#39;s holiday!) because it wasn%26#39;t the seat he was familiar with. (he wasn%26#39;t a fussy child any other time!)

It doesn%26#39;t count against your luggage allowance -- so other than the slight hassle of carrying it through the airport, there%26#39;s no reason not to.
