TGV from Loire Valley to Nice

I%26#39;m planning a trip to France in September. I want to travel by TGV from the Loire Valley to Nice. I%26#39;m struggling with the French train site at the moment and I%26#39;m after some help.

Do trains travel along this route or do I have to go back to Paris? Can anyone give an approximate cost for the trip?

Thanks for any advice.

Depends where you mean by %26quot;the Loire valley%26quot;. The SNCF website is being even more of a problem than usual at the moment, but www.bahn.de says that there is a 7.35 from Nantes to Marseille, calling at Angers. This works its way round the Paris suburbs, so that bit isn%26#39;t quick, but much easier than changing stations in Paris. As it%26#39;s a German site, it can%26#39;t quote fares, but you now know which train to look for on SNCF. There are trains reasonably frequently from Marseille to Nice.

If you are starting from Tours, you may be able to travel via Toulouse. Try splitting your journey into sections when asking the website for details, then go back to one favourite to look for a fare.
