Hello, we%26#39;re planning a trip to Calvi at the end of August/beginning of September and thinking about staying in an apartment in the Calvi Citadel area. If we do this will it be quite a walk to the beaches, restaurants and bars in Calvi town?

It%26#39;s not very far to walk from the citadel, I%26#39;d say 3 or 4 mins to restaurants and bars, and about 10 mins walk to the beach. It%26#39;s the return journey that%26#39;s a bit harder, especially if it%26#39;s very hot, as the walk up into the citadel itself is quite steep. It%26#39;s a very romantic and atmospheric place to stay.

We are staying in one of the apartments in the citadel, the Angelique and will let you know what its like etc when we return. We leave this Sunday 15th and simply cannot wait. I understand that everything is pretty close to hand and there is also a jazz club next to it, so it may depend on the apartment you have whether it is noisy or not?? Look at the Direct Corsica website for apartments if you havnt already, they are really helpful.
