circular public bus tour

In a recent trip report, someone took an interesting circular tour around the city on public buses. I thought I had saved the thread but I can%26#39;t find it and a search has not turned the trip report up.

If you are reading this could you please let me know which buses you took, or if anyone else can suggest a circular bus tour I would be very grateful.

Thanks

Found it!!

For the attention of anyone thats interested.

%26gt;%26gt;Sunday, my feet were exhausted and I was plotting on how to get out of taking a big walk. I suggested a big bus ride around the city. We started with the 96 from St.Paul to Gare Montparnasse, then the 92 to Etoile. Took the 31 to Gare du Nord, then finally the 26 around to Nation. This pretty much took us in a big loop around Paris and we went through a few neighborhoods we hadn%26#39;t seen yet and only used 2 tickets! We walked the last part from Nation to Bastille, then had lunch at Cafe Francais there%26lt;%26lt;

With grateful thanks to Red Savage.

There is also the metro; part of line 6 of the Paris metro runs above ground, from station Pasteur to Passy, some great views, especially when crossing the Seine.

Thanks grndma for posting this.. I remembered seeing this and couldn%26#39;t recall %26#39;where%26#39; it was. : )

Note.... you can catch the number 86 bus back from Nation to Bastille if you don%26#39;t want to walk and then the 76 to St Paul.

Grndma Thanks for the info. I have a question though about only using two tickets. Do you use the same ticket twice and if so do you just validate it a second time? We use the buses all the time but were unaware of this. Thanks.

With a t+ ticket you can transfer as many times as you like up to 90 minutes from first validation, so long as you are continuing on and not back-tracking. You do validate the (same) ticket each time you board a bus.
