Paris in the Winter

Hi.

I%26#39;m planning to go to Paris in Janurary/February of next year. Any suggestion of how to make it romantic during the colder months? We are planning to rent an apartment since the price is better than a hotel.

Gosh...isn%26#39;t just being in Paris romantic enough?? :)

Walking around Paris in the winter time is wonderful. The crowds are gone and you can really enjoy the city at your own speed. You can still enjoy the outdoor cafes as they are heated with lamps. I love Paris in the winter. It%26#39;s actually my preferred time to be there.

What is the saying %26quot;Bread, wine and thou.%26quot; Hot wine in Paris with fresh baguette and your someone special. The weather is cold but your Canadian blood is used to it. Still plenty of fresh flowers to be found in the city as well. Easier to be romantic in the cold weather anyways.

We were in Paris in early January %26#39;07, and it was pretty darn cold, eh! Other than that the previous posts are quite correct, especially about the absence of crowds. Also, the semi-annual government approved %26quot;Soldes%26quot;,or nationwide sales are in that time frame every year, making for some fun bargain hunting.

Note though, that the previous poster who thought it was cold in Paris was from Atlanta. The OP is from Canada. They%26#39;ll probably think Paris is balmy in Jan/Feb :)
