Hotels, Restaurants and Things to do

Henri IV does not have any double rooms available from July 8-July 15th.

Could anyone recommend a moderately priced, decent and clean hotel, with a private bath %26amp; toilet in Saint Germain/Latin Quarter area?

We will be in Paris for six nights. would appreciate any suggestions for an itinerary, what to do, where to go, eat (I have reservations at L%26#39;Epi Dupin for dinner at 7:30 p.m. and lunch at Apicius another day).

Would like to go to Bruges, Belgium for the day (probably Sunday), too. How do I go about buying train tickets and where do I go? Do you advise buying the tickets ahead of time through expedia or travelocity?

Thank you so much for all your help.

Not sure what constitutes %26quot;moderately priced%26#39; in your dictionary, but I would recommend K+K Cayre in the Saint Germaine area and the Best Western Hotel Jardin de Cluny in the Latin Quarter area.

To go to Bruges, you would by a Thalys ticket to Brussels with a change to a local train to Bruges. You can play with this on www.sncf.com or maybe www.thalys.com

You can buy tickets in Paris at an SNCF office.

To my knowledge, you cannot buy French train tickets on Expedia or Travelocity; if you actually can, they are probably sold by RailEurope.com, which often has a markup on the tickets and will charge a shipping fee. You can play around with tickets on their actual site, as well, www.raileurope.com

Make sure that the places you want to see in Bruges are open on Sunday...
