Paris & Nice- for 6 days in July.Where to stay

My husband and I and our 3 yr old are going to paris and Nice for 5-6days in July. We are looking for a central located hotel in both places from where we can go to the usual touristy places in paris and nice.

We arent planning to rent a car but walk or take the public transport. is this feasible ? This is my first time in france !!! Budget would be apprx 120 euros/day. any suggestions ?

Madwho,

I haven%26#39;t travelled with a 3 year old so I don%26#39;t know the child friendly hotels. I thought I%26#39;d bump this post back to the top for you so maybe someone that knows can answer your question.

A few years ago my husband and I stayed at the Mercure Nice Promenade des Anglais in Nice. A bus from the airport stopped just a block away. The hotel is just across from the Ocean...we had an ocean front room. It was great. We only took public transportation...it worked out fine. You can even take a bus to Eze and Monaco.

I know a French company that rents furnished apartments in Paris and Nice.

In France, it%26#39;s real easy to use public transports. You can take a train from Paris to Nice (www.voyages-sncf.com), and take the metro or buses in the cities.

Enjoy your stay

My favourite Nice Hotel is the Hotel Windsor which is central, has a really nice dining room and the rooms with balconies over the garden are very big (the privilege rooms)

A friend stayed at this B%26amp;B in Seguret near Vaison La Romaine last year and loved it, if you are interested in breaking up your trip (I hope to stay there later this year)
