Lebanese cuisine : Al Wady restaurant

We%26#39;ll be visiting Paris next month, and although I%26#39;d tend to stick with French food - all kinds - a friend has told my husband there%26#39;s a wonderful Lebanese restaurant called Al Wady on Rue de Lourmel and we simply must go there. I did a few searches here for Lebanese cuisine but didn%26#39;t find any reference to this place. Has anyone been to Al Wady and how was it? Thank you.

Al wadi has a good reputation in Paris. Restaurant on roof top of Institut du Monde Arabe offers Lebanese food with views.

For Lebanese food ckeck out also market at Richard Lenoir on Sunday. There is a vendor at beginning of market on the right (close to Bastille Metro) that makes delicious thinga to take home or eat right there.

Thank you, la photographe. We%26#39;ll be in Paris Monday to Saturday, so the market is out, unfortunately. How would you rate Al Wadi vis-a-vis Noura? There%26#39;s a Noura in the Opera District which would be very convenient for us, needless to say if Al Wadi is better we%26#39;ll trek there!

Hi;

The Bastille market also takes place on Thursdays...

Noura also has two restaurants and a take out on the Place de Beirut in the 16th on Avenue Marceau...

Always busy, always fresh...

Noura isn%26#39;t that great, really. Actually some of teh dullest leb I%26#39;ve had in this city. Al Wadi is better.

That%26#39;s interesting. The local Lebanese community really enjoy it...

Some do. Their high-end place in the 8th is quite popular with the local Labanese community, but what I understand from my Lebanese friends, is that much of that is about show and not so much the cuisine. I guess it all depends on what you%26#39;re looking for in a restau. Personally, for me, it is just about the food.
