Killing time between Gare d'Austerlitz & Gare du Nord

Hi All

We are travelling back from skiing on a Wednesday lunchtime and am looking for somewhere authentic and inexpensive to enjoy a long French lunch - with foie gras!

We will arrive at the Gare d%26#39;Austerliz at lunchtime, and have four hours to get to Gare du Nord.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated - it is ur first time in Paris together and I would like it to be a memorable one!

Thanks very much!

you have to choose : inexpensive or foie gras ....of course the real foie gras ...

There%26#39;s a well known and excellent brasserie opposite Gare du Nord called Terminus Nord. Very good for a long and not expensive lunch. Not sure about foie gras, you need an expensive restaurant for that.

An added advantage is that you are at Gare du Nord, so you don%26#39;t have to worry about estimating the time to get there for the train.

Thank you, that%26#39;s great! Ok so Terminus Nord sounds like a good cheap lunch... if we want foie gras, it%26#39;s going to be pricey - so where does someone know that does gret foie gras? Then we can see how much we have left to spend on lunch!

Thanks

How about buying some Foie Gras to bring home with you from Fauchon, at Place De La Madeleine. They have a number of Foie Gras products priced between 11 and 70 Euros.
