Room Service at Dream Castle Hotel?

We are beginning to panic after reading all the nightmare reviews regarding meals - especially breakfast. My husband and I are travelling without kids although we are meeting up with friends and their 3 children.I know I am going to have to grit my teeth and just put up with all the mayhem but am wondering whether we can get room service, just to prederve our sanity a little longer. Or has anyone any further tips for us. Must admit, I%26#39;m beginning to dread booking this trip (3 nights at end June). We really aren%26#39;t killjoys, just not used to kids. Any advice would be most welcome.

Room service is very limited at Dream Castle. The hotel is very nice, and we escaped the crowds by taking walks in the hotel grounds where there are nice gardens and a lake. We tended to take our coffee into the gardens after breakfast for some peace and quiet before the madness of the parks. However, the hotel is geared towards families (obviously)and there are lots of excited children and it is impossible to evade them, even in the bar. Breakfast is a bit of a bun fight, but if you go early, or late, queues can be avoided, and there are plenty of tables.

Have you thought about staying close to Paris? and taking the train to Disney to meet up with your friends?

Thanks Tripalot, Hotel is already booked - however, I think you%26#39;re right, we%26#39;ll get up early and grab breakfast, then shower etc. It is definitely mind over matter but I also want to enjoy myself as well.

brekkie starts at 7 - if you go down before 8.30 you will avoid the %26quot;rush%26quot; - my advice is to go early then just have shower after !

Writing as a mother of three children.

Since You are meeting up with parents of three children I think You should make up a plan together with them.

When meeting with them , decide how much time You will spend together, as where you should eat etc.

And make time for You alone in the park , and meet with your friends when you are eating.

They ( Your friend with three children ) will probably follow the childrens way of doing things and

for You it can be very tireing.

For eating out as a parent myself we love to go where the characters are, then we actually can enjoy our meal aswell. And for You and your friends You can get to talk together.

Hi mutter38, we have been going on holiday with our friends for a number of years abd the great thing is we are not stuck together the whole time. We can go off on our own when we want to. However, the kids are great fun and very polite, nice to be around. One of the main reasons we are going I think is for the %26#39;guys%26#39; to be bar buddies. The thought of being so immersed in a childrens world was freaking out my friends husband and he refused to go until we offered to join them. Think I%26#39;ll take along my valium just in case though!!!!

Yeah or some beer or wine will work out too. My husbond feel the same , but He has a good time in Disneylandparis aswell as the children.

I love to go there have a childness mind and going with kids like a place like that is super.

And it gives us as parents a break when we eat.

Last time we stayed at Disney instead of Paris which was our main thing to do but it turn out better to stay there with kids than in a big hotel in Paris.

There is somethings to see and do for all of us.
