Transport Costs / Options in Paris

My wfe and I and our 2 children (4 %26amp; 11) will be visiting Paris for 8 days from 18th July.

We will be arriving at CDG airport and would envisage using the RER to and from the airport to our hotel at Porte de Clichy. During our stay we will be going to Eurodisney at least on 2 days maybe 3. In addition to this we will be using the Metro during our stay.

What is our best options for tickets for both RER and Metro during our stay? I am aware that the tourist pass for 5 days will not cover our entire stay. What are the costs associated with my children?

Maybe this will help get you started on your analysis:

I don%26#39;t think I%26#39;d really recommend using the RER into Paris with children and luggage, esp. if you%26#39;re first-time visitors. Maybe on your way out, after you%26#39;ve gotten acclimated? Doing so, and then taking a metro onward to the hotel would require a couple of subway changes, and %26#39;your%26#39; line splits so you%26#39;d have to make sure you changed to the correct one. At best, take the RER to Gare du Nord, then get a taxi.

I would also guess that 8 days 4 people, you will have a good amount of luggage which may make the RER even more difficult on day one in Paris. I would check into a taxi or shuttle service. It will cost more but the chances that you make it to your stop with your luggage will increase I would think. On my last visit, a taxi into the city center from CDG cost around 40 euro.
