Port Vendres to Carcassone

Hello,

We will be in port on a cruise and need to find a licensed guide/driver from Port Vendres to Carcassonne. Any information would be greatly appreciated because we have e-mailed hotels and the tourist office in Carcassonne with no response.

Did you manage to find anyone as we too want to do the trip from Port Vendres to Carcasonne from seabourn cruise line when we are there in September - if you did find anyone please can you let me know - many thanks Diane drhodes@peeladvertising.co.uk

I am down that way at the moment and I think you will struggle! It is 150km from Port-Vendres to Carcassonne, almost 2 hours drive.

Is a day trip to Carcassonne such a good idea?

Actually, we%26#39;ve already been (see the date of the original post). It was a FABULOUS day, and I highly recommend to those traveling to the area by cruise ship. We also had time to stop in a lovely village to visit a winery and walk around Port Vendres after we returned at the end of the day.
