Hotel in Paris

My husband and I (early to mid-30%26#39;s) are going to Paris for 4 nights in the beginning of July. We%26#39;re looking for a nice (clean, modern, nice bar/restaraurant perhaps, mid-price range) hotel, centrally located so that we can walk around and not constantly depend on public transportation. We live in a major city so we%26#39;re used to the %26quot;lifestyle%26quot; of a city and would like to be in an area where we can walk to cafes, restaurants, etc. if possible. First time to Paris for both of us. Thanks!

Consider the Ile de la Cite, Ile St Louis, the Marais, Saint Germain des Pres and the Latin Quarter.
